The Goblins Nook Grand Opening Was a Brilliant Day
What a day.
On Saturday 6th June, we officially opened the doors to The Goblins Nook, and honestly, it could not have gone much better. From the moment things got going, the shop was busy all day with people dropping in, having a look around, rolling dice, painting, chatting, eating cake, and generally making the place feel exactly how I hoped it would.
We had people of all ages come along, from younger hobbyists just getting started to long-time miniature fans who could probably identify a sprue from twenty paces. It was genuinely lovely to meet so many new faces, see families getting involved, and watch people settle in around the tables.
There was plenty going on throughout the day, including face painting, games running all day, the Find the Hidden Goblins challenge, a paper quiz with a free model up for grabs, and a raffle to win a The Goblins Nook mug. And yes, there was cake. Very important. Arguably load-bearing.
One of the best parts of the day was seeing people actually using the space the way it was meant to be used. People painting, playing, talking about miniatures, sharing tips, showing off models, and just enjoying the hobby together. That is what The Goblins Nook is all about.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, helped out, brought friends or family, bought something, played a game, entered the raffle, hunted for goblins, or simply popped in to say hello. Your support means a lot, and it made the opening feel like the start of something really special.
This is only the beginning. We will have more games, more hobby days, more events, and probably more cake in the future.
Thanks again to everyone who made the grand opening such a success.
See you round the tables,
Soxy
