The Halloween Painting Competition 2026

Welcome Goblins of all ages and skill stages to the
2026 Goblin's Nook Halloween Painting Competition!

This years completion comes with a seasonal twist! Partake of a potion to find your unique challenge and let the spooky season fuel your creativity.  

Available now in store are potion cards that will give each entry some suggestions (don't try and drink them, actual beverages are available upon request). Here's how they work.  

Each entrant (or Paint Gobbo, if you will) will draw 3 cards from Sox's spooky cauldron and then carefully consider the possibilties  before selecting one to move forward with in the competition.  The cards give a theme prompt and some suggested colours to help stoke the artistic embers.  These are optional but they really add a nice twist and we're excited to see what you all do with them.  The best part is entry is FREE!

🥇 First place (most votes): a Halloween Goblin model, sculpted by Sox, plus a £15 shop voucher
👺 Goblin's Pick (my favourite): a Halloween Goblin model plus a £10 voucher
🧒 Junior winner (under 16s): a Halloween Goblin model

 

🎃 So to recap:- 

Free to enter. Here's how it works:

1. Come into the shop and draw 3 potions from the cauldron
2. Keep 1, put the other 2 back
3. Sign up at the counter and take your entry card
4. Paint any model to your potion's theme. The colours on the card are there if you want them, but they're optional
5. Upload your photos [HERE] by midnight, 31 October.
Please include a before pic to help your after pic pop. 

Voting opens in November!

Any model, any game. One entry per person. Must be your own work.
Please no models that were painted before the competition date!
